Back at work early today and boy, do I miss vacation already! We had such a great time with you and THANK YOU for all the personal attention. I learned so much from the casting lessons. It was the first time for both Bob and me to fish with 2 nymphs and lead! I would've lost more flies if you hadn't rescued them from all those branches I hooked on the bottom of the river. I'm definitely passing your name to other fishers I know and we'll definitely use your services again next time we're in New Mexico. The Conejos was perfect. My new mantra is: Fish are faced upstream, hook the fish downstream with a snappy wrist and yell....fish on!

The day was outstanding, thanks to the attentive nature of Peter. He listened to my description of what I wanted to achieve and he stayed on message all day. His nurturing teaching style went well with my sense of balance of wanting to be taught in a professional yet not officious or domineering manner.
I perhaps set the record for needing flies replaced, tangles undone and snags cleared. He was a perfect partner for my first outing in many years. And Peter made sure I did not fall. So, it was a great day!

We had a superb fishing experience and we thank you for the outstanding job you did as our fishing guide. There is nothing that I can offer as thoughts for improvement... excellence is excellence and adding to it just inflates the word. Thanks again for the trip, it was fantastic. Cindy and I had a great time taking in all the scenery and
spending the day on the river. We were tired the next day, however, if I could do it again tomorrow, I would. You were a first rate guide and showed outstanding patience with both of us. The first time ever to fly fish in that environment and catch fish on top of that was fantastic. We definitely plan on coming back and when we do, you can bet I will get a day of fishing in.

I was at Brazos River Ranch with Norm W. last weekend.
Just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed the experience. Shane's knowledge was amazing and his ability to put up with two novices was even more amazing.
The fishing was great fun but unfortunately future trips will be a let-down compared to the trip we just had. I hope we can do it again.

I finally am emailing you about our recent trip.
Shane was fantastic. Both Mike B. and I kept talking about how much we learned and what a good guide and teacher Shane is. To tell the truth, I think that both of us appreciated the learning experience more than the fish that we caught. This is a big statement because the fish that we caught were really big, at least in our experience. We felt that having a couple of days in a row with Shane gave him more of a chance to correct our many bad habits and poor techniques. I know that I feel a lot more confident in approaching and landing nice trout. We would give Shane an A+.

The Brazos River Ranch was fantastic. We both agreed that most places that we will go to in the future will be a letdown after being there. Peaceful environment, no trees around river to get caught in, big fish, no steep areas to have to climb up and down, great food, good company, no crowds and remote location.
So, I was pleased with my visit/trip and am still excited about it.
