Who We Are

Fishing is in our blood - Fly fishing is our passion!

Shane Parker-Kast
Fly Fishing Guide Shane Parker Kast
Shane has been involved with fishing his whole life. When he was 2 weeks old he went out for his first boat ride on his father's (Noah Parker) lobster boat. As soon as he could handle a rod he was fishing for just about anything that swam. At about age ten, he started fishing streams and ponds with a fly rod and hasn't stopped fly fishing since. Shane has fished for trout and bass in New England as well as fishing in Canada for Atlantic salmon on Anticosti Island and the world famous Miramachi River. A six month stay in Ireland enabled him to fish many of the great streams of County Clare. Since moving to Northern New Mexico in 2004, Shane has fished all over the West - in Arizona, Colorado, Wyoming, Montana and, most of all, here in New Mexico. He has been guiding since 2006 on many of the public and private waters in our area. For the last few years in the late fall and winter seasons, Shane has be guiding and fishing for steelhead in Alaska, Washington, Oregon and Northern California. Everyone that fishes with him finds they have made a new friend. Shane's natural skill as a fisherman and teacher coupled with his consistent good humor make him a great person to go fishing with.

Peter Mosey
Fly Fishing Guide Peter Mosey
Peter started fishing as youngster in Indiana catching bass and catfish. In 1994, after graduating from high school, he headed west and found new roots in New Mexico where he has lived ever since. Peter's love of nature, and most of all fishing, really took off and grew upon his arrival in the Southwest. It didn't take him long to find the many great rivers and streams here and to take up fly fishing. Seldom does any free time go by when he is not out, with fly rod in hand; exploring the multitude of remote fishing spots New Mexico has to offer. Living north of Santa Fe in the New Mexico countryside enables Peter to pursue his love of fly fishing and fly tying as well as organic gardening on a daily basis. People he takes fishing always enjoy his easy going approach to the "art" of fly fishing. Since becoming a professional fly fishing guide in 2007, he has passionately taught his love for fly fishing throughout the wild country of Northern New Mexico. Peter's fishing skills coupled with his knowledge of the birds and animals of the Southwest, guarantee you will have a wonderful experience and a memorable day on the river with him as your guide.

Charles "Cha" Maul
Cha Maul NM Fishing Guide
Born and raised here in New Mexico, Cha's love of the outdoors has led him to explore many of the wilder areas of the Land of Enchantment. When not guiding other anglers or fly fishing on his own, Cha spends most of his free time somewhere in the back country pursuing his other passions which include snowboarding and skiing, backpacking, rock climbing, rafting and kayaking - just to name a few. His first exposure to fishing was in Ruidoso, NM as a toddler, where he watched his father lying on his stomach on a riverbank patiently trying to catch a fish nestled under the bank, with his hands. A few years later, at nine years old, Cha held a fly rod for the first time and hasn't stopped chasing trout since. Along with having fished on most of New Mexico's waters, he has enjoyed hiking and honing his fly fishing skills on many of the rivers and streams of Colorado, Wyoming, Oregon, Arizona and California. He is also an accomplished and innovative fly tier (we think this may come from his formal education based in the fine arts). Along with his fishing skills and local insights, Cha's laid-back personality and love of adventure, nature and the outdoors always makes for a wonderful day on the water.

Noah Parker
Fly Fishing Guide Noah Parker
Noah started fishing at very early age with his father on many of the classic trout streams in the Catskills and New England. During his youth he often fished with family friends Ernie Schwiebert and Arnold Gingrich, both of whom inspired his love of fly fishing. At about ten years old, Noah also started tying flies and selling them to make extra money. A great influence on his early fly tying endeavors were Harry and Elsie Darby who encouraged and helped him to learn the craft. In his early twenties, Noah's love of the water and all things involving fishing led him to a career as a commercial fisherman. Working off the coast of New England, he ran his own boats fishing for lobster, cod and bluefin tuna (see the picture to the left of Shane & Noah). After over twenty years on the ocean, he has gone back, full time, to his first love of fly fishing and fly-tying.

Orvis Endorsed Guide
Noah moved with his family to northern New Mexico in 2004, where he has been fishing and guiding ever since. When guiding, he brings along his lifelong experience in all types of fishing as well as his great enjoyment of fly fishing. First and foremost, he thinks fishing should be relaxing and fun - this is what you will be guaranteed to have on a guided trip with him. Noah also is an Orvis Endorsed fly fishing guide.
